TPLO Surgery

TPLO Pet Surgery in Nashville, GA

Tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, or TPLO surgery, is a technique used to repair a rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament or CCL. This surgery can reduce pain and inflammation resulting from a CCL tear so that your pet can get back to his usual self.

Recovery Time

Once the surgery is completed, a vet on our team will give you an overview of how the procedure went and an approximate healing timeline. Your pet should be able to move around within the first 24 hours of the surgery.

After about a few weeks, your pet will walk with a slight hobble or change in their stride. Complete healing can take up to 6 months but once recovery is completed, your pet should be able to do the things they enjoy without a limp or mobility issues.

Although the surgery can take some time to recover from, its worth it to help your pet get back us usual self.

Pet Exam

Get a pet exam from a veterinarian on our veterinary team to determine if your pet is a good candidate for pet surgery. A vet on our team will tell you how to prepare your pet for the surgery and what to expect coming out of it.
